Istikhara is asking Allah for a good end to something.Istikhara is also an attempt to “predict the future”. As a matter of fact, the person who makes istikhara learns whether an action of which he has no knowledge about the outcome will be good or bad by looking at the objects he sees in his dreams. In this respect, it is possible to compare istikhara with some understandings experienced in previous societies.Muslims and especially mystical circles, who take care to live according to religious rules, attach great importance to istikhara as in the past.As for whether this understanding is included in religious references, the part of praying and praying two rakahs is available in many hadith sources. However, rituals such as falling asleep after prayer, making a decision about ones job according to what one sees in a dream, and some other additions are not included in reliable hadith sources. These are mostly found in some special books that deal with the subject of dreams.
